Home and enjoying it!

Was very, very lucky with getting a flight so quick. Signed up for Space A on Friday afternoon. Discovered on Saturday about noon that there was a very early flight the next day on Sunday, August 26, with a show time of 0440 in the morning. Didn't have much time for getting ready (washing clothes, packing), no time for buying gifts, much less much sleep. Was expecting to leave on Wednesday, August 29. Nice of my boss to let me go early.

Got to Kadena AB in time, checked in, was selected, and the aircraft (KC-135) left about 0630 Sunday morning (Japan Time). Arrived at Hickam AFB 10 hours later at 2130 Saturday night (Hawai'i Time). So got to have Sunday the 26th over again in Hawai'i.

Bad news is my camera is on the blink. Plus my travel laptop's hard drive failed (3 years old). Just got it back from a friend who replaced the hard drive. Took the opportunity to upgrade from 30GB to 80GB, and also add RAM, from 256KB to 1GB (cost $150 for parts and a lunch for my friend). So, have been setting it up again. Thank goodness for USB flash drives. So at least back on line.

Gotta think about a camera now to get you folks pictures.

But have been enjoying eating. Will start listing list later.
