sake
Some sake or shake that I bought yesterday at San A. There was a display. Big bottle on the left was ¥398 and the two pack on right was ¥298. I have no idea of where they are from. From same place, but different quality?

The big bottle says it is from Hokkaido. The two bottles on the right says that it is made from Autumn salmon. :) (aki sake)
Kat - Thanks! Think I'll go back and buy some more to send home. My family loves salmon. Jusco had a different brand today but I didn't buy any.
might be sold at Marukai and Shirokiya, not sure of the price though.
Kat - had a friend from CA who was going to Hawaii and was going to look for the sake. Haven't heard back yet, but was going to send some if couldn't find.
you may be right, with the price of gas going up, I think a lot of stuff may have stopped being imported.
two smaller bottles on sale Marukais $4.99 fyi
anon - Big mark-up1 Even with the junk yen rate now, costs $2.85 for the bottles I bought. Thanks for the info, interesting.
Our supermarket has the shake on sale, 398 yen (I think, but don't know what size), was thinking to buy some for Satoshi's musubi.
fyi bumped into a lady from Japan in the grocery line and she was pu fresh salmon filets..said she was going to bake it and flake it for musubis, she said she just adds salt but also used bbq sauce or teriyaki.
should be ono
